Hot Chocolate

I made this today, experimenting, and it came out awesome, so I thought I’d post it.  Is it hot chocolate or cocoa?  All I know is that it’s good.  Sorry, no pictures yet, I just wanted to get it down.  I will update the post with pictures the next time I make it.  I’m sure you can substitute two additional cups of milk for half and half.

I usually make coffee first thing in the morning, put it in a large thermos, sweeten it with stevia and add half and half.  On a whim, after my first cup of cocoa (I like calling hot chocolate cocoa), I mixed the two, half coffee from my thermos and half cocoa.  Can you say, “INCREDIBLE?!”

It makes 4 – 5 servings.

Ingredients

2 cups whole milk

2  cups half and half

6 oz semi sweet chocolate

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbs blue agave (or sweetener of your choice)

  1. Warm the milk with half and half on medium heat.
  2. Break up the chocolate and add in, stirring constantly.  As the chocolate and dairy combine, switch to a whisk.
  3. Add vanilla and taste.  Add sweetener.
  4. Taste and serve.
